Sharetec COLD
COLD is an acronym for Computer Output to Laser Disk. It is the technology by which computer generated reports and documents are stored electronically. COLD could also be an acronym for Computer On-Line Data as this technology is no longer limited to laser disk. Data can be stored on hard disk, optical disk, CD-ROM, or DAT tape.
COLD replaces microfiche or paper storage of computer reports. Unlike microfiche or paper reports, storing documents with COLD makes them instantly accessible. No matter how many millions of documents you have, COLD can search for and find what you need in less than two seconds!
COLD is fully scalable so when your credit union grows, this system grows with you. Its open architecture supports all sizes of credit unions and uses.
COLD is so flexible it can work with nearly any host, network or storage device. You decide how information is to be indexed and how it will be stored.
